VVB rotation
The VVB that validated a project cannot carry out its first three verifications, and no VVB can verify more than three consecutive monitoring periods.
Verification
- The first three verifications cannot be carried out by a VVB that did the project’s registration validation, a PDC validation (unless done alongside a verification), or the renewal validation.
- A VVB cannot verify more than three consecutive monitoring periods of the same project.
Renewal of crediting period
The VVB that validates the renewal must not be the one that carried out the most recent verification.
Converted CDM projects
The VVB validating a converted CDM project cannot be the DOE that validated it under the CDM or carried out its last CDM audit. The first CR-I verification cannot be done by the VVB that did the last CDM audit or the CR-I validation. The usual rotation rules apply after that.
