Dr. Jagdish Kishwan, Chairman and Chief Coordinator

Internationally acclaimed Climate Change and Forestry Specialist with deep knowledge of practical issues in Wildlife and Agroforestry. He has been a distinguished member of the Indian Forest Service, and has held important assignments including that of the Director General, Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), the prestigious forestry research organization of national and international repute and concurrently as Chancellor FRI University, and the Head of Forest Force, Jammu and Kashmir State. He was the Lead Negotiator of the country in the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) on the subjects of Forestry and LULUCF from 2006 to 2014. Over the years, he was involved in varied projects, e.g., securement of elephant corridors, integrated wildlife management plan, and also served as National Coordinator of Asia-Pacific Agroforestry Network (APAN) of FAO.

He has authored/presented more than two dozen papers on various aspects of climate change related to forests and wildlife, forestry, and agroforestry including REDD+ in journals and in national and international workshops, seminars and meetings. He has also co-edited ‘India’s Forests’ published by the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India. He is also an IRCA Certified Lead Auditor for FSC Certification of Forest Management.

Sachin Jain, Secretary NCCF

An internationally recognized expert in auditing FSC- Co C & FM Certification, third-party monitoring and evaluation, environmental certification programs, etc. He has contributed and directed various projects on sustainability, climate change, monitoring, evaluation and afforestation.

Mr Sachin Jain is also the Managing Director of Sara Abode Pvt Ltd. India’ s leading Prefabricated Wooden Houses manufacturer. Sara Abode is the exclusive distributor of Kontio, Finland for India and South Asia region. Kontio is the largest log manufacturing company in the world with over 45 years of expertise in the Scandinavian wood treatment technology.

Richard N. Bright, CEO Carbon Registry-India

Richard Bright, CEO Carbon Registry-India(CR-I) by Network for Certification and Conservation of Forests(NCCF) is a seasoned IT and digital transformation leader who has been in the field for over two decades, efficiently managing custom software development & solutions, information technology operations and driving sustainability initiatives through digital transformation.

Before, joining NCCF in 2019, Richard served as the Director at Teleperformance (Digital Integrated Business Services), where he led global Software service delivery across nine countries. His tenure at Teleperformance was marked by his ability to navigate the complexities of the IT industry and deliver results that surpassed expectations. Prior to that, he held leadership positions with companies like Intelenet Global Services, Serco, Kuoni Travel, Business Travel International and Sita-Western Union.

Apart from his experience, Richard possesses a range of certifications that attest to his expertise in the field. He holds a master’s degree in computer application and is a certified Prince 2 practitioner, Cisco professional, ITSM, Robotics & automation and data analytics expert, trained ISO 27001 LA, ISO 14064, ISO 9001 and adept in Life Cycle Assessment. He also has extensive exposure on ITGC, HIPPA, SOX, GRC and SOC Compliance.

Richard’s unique blend of expertise in technology, standard development, carbon markets, climate change mitigation & adaptation, policies and regulations, enables him to provide guidance to organizations seeking to implement sustainable practices and make a positive impact. His leadership has been instrumental in driving sustainability initiatives and digital transformation, and building a greener economy in India.
