Registry account
Opening and running a CR-I Registry account: sign-up, KYC, fees, invoices, refunds and the account rules.
Every participant works through an account on the CR-I Registry platform. These articles cover opening an account, the documents you need, how fees are charged and the rules that apply to every account.
Every IPP, VVB, IMD and TO needs an account on the CR-I Registry platform. You sign up with your email, complete KYC and accept the Terms and Conditions; NCCF then reviews the application.
The Registry platform has four account types, one for each kind of participant: IPP, VVB, IMD and TO. Each account can carry out a different set of actions.
Know Your Customer (KYC) checks confirm who you are before an account is opened. Individuals prove identity and address; organisations prove legal status, address, signatories and owners.
Registry fees are charged in Indian Rupees at set stages of the project and methodology cycles. They must be paid before NCCF starts a review, and are due within 30 days of notification.
Invoices are generated automatically and emailed to your registered address once a payment is completed. GST and other applicable taxes are charged in addition to Registry fees.
Fees paid to the Registry are not refundable, in full or in part. This includes requests that are withdrawn or rejected, and accounts that are suspended or terminated.
Every account pays an annual maintenance fee of INR 15,000. It funds the upkeep of projects and of the Registry, which NCCF runs on a not-for-profit basis.
NCCF can suspend an account with seven working days’ notice, for example for unpaid fees or suspected fraud. You can close your own account with 15 working days’ notice once fees and MCUs are settled.
The Terms and Conditions form a binding contract between NCCF and every account holder. This summary covers the main obligations; the official text prevails.
