Performance review and categories
NCCF reviews every VVB through witness audits and report reviews, scores each completed activity out of 25, and publishes each VVB’s category on the Registry website.
How performance is reviewed
- Random witness audits during on-site work
- Reviews of Validation and Verification Reports, plans and findings
Scoring
Each completed activity is scored 1 to 5 for approach (team selection, audit plan, code of conduct, timeliness) and 1 to 5 for representation (report quality, responsiveness to comments, unbiased accuracy). The score is the product, up to 25. NCCF’s scores cannot be contested.
Categories
| Category | Average score |
|---|---|
| I | 20 to 25 |
| II | 9 to 19 |
| III | 1 to 8 |
Categories are published on the Registry website. IVVEs are reviewed the same way, with input from project proponents, peer reviewers and witness auditors, and can be de-empanelled for poor performance or ethical breaches.
