Projects eligible in CR-I

The Registry shall adhere to the sectoral scopes defined by UNFCCC’s Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and Methodology as approved by Carbon Registry India (CR-I).

The sectoral scopes are as follows:

(i) Energy industries (renewable -/ non-renewable sources)

(ii) Energy distribution  

(iii) Energy demand

(iv) Manufacturing industries

(v) Chemical industries

(vi) Construction

(vii) Transport

(viii) Mining/mineral production

(ix) Metal production

(x) Fugitive emissions from fuels (solid, oil and gas)

(xi) Fugitive emissions from production and consumption of halocarbons and Sulphur hexafluoride

(xii) Solvent use

(xiii) Waste handling and disposal

(xiv) Afforestation and reforestation

(xv) Agriculture

Sectoral scopes as listed above:- Point (i) to (xiii) are applicable to Non AFOLU projects and Points (xiv) & (xv) are valid for AFOLU projects.
