
Dr. Indumathi M. Nambi
As a professor and researcher at IIT Madras, Dr.Indumathi have been working in multiple areas of environmental engineering for over 18 years, developing technologies for water, wastewater, and waste treatment, and resource recovery from industrial waste. She has PhD in Environmental Engineering from Clarkson University, and have published 140 papers and 7 patents in her field of expertise.
Dr. Indumathi Manivannan Nambi is a professor and researcher at IIT Madras, she has been working in multiple areas of environmental engineering for over 18 years, developing technologies for water, wastewater, and waste treatment, and resource recovery from industrial waste. She has PhD in Environmental Engineering from Clarkson University, and have published 140 papers and 7 patents in her field of expertise.
Dr. Indumathi is also passionate about promoting sustainability and environmental impact assessment, and have served in central and state expert committees for advising the government on key decisions in this area.Additionally, she is the program coordinator of Carbon Zero Challenge, an ecotechnology and entrepreneurship contest that has supported 75 innovative solutions addressing environment challenges and reducing carbon emissions. As the chairperson of the IIT Madras, Women’s Forum, she is committed to supporting and empowering girls and women in science and engineering.
